The roots of my work are introspective being formulated in my earliest paintings and drawings. Using them as a tool to mobilize a movement inwards in order to describe an existential picture and map a multi layered description of ones own psychology. With the use of the video format I tried to find a link to the external, political and social world and by that to formulate a movement from inside out. In relation to that the themes which I deal with mobilize back and fourth from the psychological to the philosophical from egoism to altruism.

The notion of truth is a slippery definition in which my work strives upon, Truth as a purifying and omnipotent goal and as a hazard and perilous concept in an individual existence. The necessity of lies in private and public life is what defines civilization, and filtering inconvenient truths is a goal which generations are brought upon. I try to uncover this complexity through personal and distant models, and I offer no definite answer but the power of the act itself. The act of an individual thought that rise up what is already accepted and obvious.

A mixture of humor and anger characterizes my work, through these channels I express in contradictable way. By using different modes to express the same I try to disclose a notion of the unstable state of subjective reality and to offer multiple approaches. I work with myself as a model acting my own fantasies whether they are funny or disturbing and by this I get a total experience as a exemplar, as an object and as a subject, reflecting and influencing reality and at the same breath being a useless ghost in the world of living.

The function of an artist; is it to touch reality and manipulate it or to never cross the line of action and stay a commentary observer. Where is the border, if there is any, between creating a fantasy which effects human life’s politically or psychologically and doing the same on a gallery wall. I believe that nowadays the precious thing an artist have is his own mind and not the products of it. I perceive the border between art and reality to be fluid and effective in more means then inside the artistic context and more accurately as a total theory of grasping ones reality.

Coalitzia, video film, 2006. Trailer.

The
project "Coalitzia" consist a six chapter story which formulates one
theme. A garbage man in Amsterdam finds by No coincidence a gun, and
looks for its owner which reveals to be a key figure in town. We, like
the main character, are Not fully presiving the motives of that
nonsense search except the garbage man's curiosity in power. The format
is Black and white video which inscribes style wise with the Neo
Realism movement of the 60's and 70's and in that since misleading and timeless. "Coalition" has, like its name many layers of
meanings from the name of the main character to The broader perception
of the word – an endless playful game between the micro and macro
world, between a real and Fantasy and between truth and lie.
"Coalition" is a craving for times that are gone. Times when cinema had
a real social-Political rule and in that sense, it is conceptually self
aware: homage of looking at the past and mirroring the present.
