New York State Senator Carl Kruger (Brooklyn) is proposing a ban on the use of a cell phone, iPod, of Blackberry while walking the streets of New York. A 23-year-old pedestrian was killed by a car while listening to her iPod (in the Senator's district) so it's time to crack down on crime.
Incidentally, Kruger wants to slap users with a $100 fine as punishment. So what if someone is jaywalking ($100 fine) while listening to their iPod, texting on their Blackberry, and their phone rings. $400 down the shitter and they're not even five minutes from their apartment.
