  • Painter Andrew Wyeth has died at the age of 91. He was awarded the National Medal of the Arts by President George W. Bush in 2007 and was most famous for his work "Christina’s World."
  • A Jewish lawmaker in the United Kingdom, whose family suffered through the Holocaust, has compared Israeli actions in Gaza to that of the Nazis
  • Boy George, a.k.a. George O’Dowd, has been sentenced to fifteen months in prison for false imprisonment of a male escort, Audun Carlsen, after tying him down and beating him.

  • Scientists have discovered potential life on Mars. The presence of methane gas on the planet signals that there may be some kind of biological activity.
