The last time I saw Sleater-Kinney, we had just entered a new century. If you would have told me then that one of the ladies in front of me would go on to become one of my favorite music writers, I would have thought you were a wacko.
It’s 2010: Sleater-Kinney is on hiatus (but hinting at a return), and Carrie Brownstein has indeed become one of the people I most enjoy reading. Her words were all over the 2009 "Best Music Writing" anthology, and her blog posts at Monitor Mix are usually the highlights of my day.
