Pornographic actor and director, Michael Lucas, threatened to organize a boycott of the NYC LGBT Center for their decision to host a party for the group, Israeli Apartheid Week, and it seemed to pay off.

The Russian-born, Jewish GayVN Hall of Famer (NSFW) is quite the fan of Israel.  In 2009, he headed to the Holy Land to film the first major gay porno featuring 100% Israeli actors. His latest show of love for Israel came in the form of a widely circulated e-mail, where he stated that he thought the NYC LGBT center’s decision to host the anti-Israel event was a joke. The e-mail went on to say that “Israel is the only country in the Middle East that supports gay rights, while its enemies round up, torture, and condemn gay people to death — often by publicly hanging or stoning them to death. If the LGBT Center wants to host a fundraising and awareness party for anti-semites, they might as well go all the way and host a tea dance for Fred Phelps.”

The statement must have worked, because Glennda Testone, executive director of New York’s LGBT Center, issued a statement that “this event is not appropriate to be held at our LGBT Community Center.”
