British comedian Shed Simove is facing some legal trouble because his Rampant Rabbi dildo is named too similarly to the Rampant Rabbit sex toys made famous by Charlotte York à la Sex and the City. This month, Ann Summers, a UK chain of adult stores, has filed opposition against Simove’s design with the British Intellectual Property Office, the Times of Israel reports. But from the looks of a post on his website, it seems Simove is holding out hope.

“The dream outcome would be that the talented team at Ann Summers now see how well my Rampant Rabbi has turned out and ask to stock it in their stores next to their ‘Rampant Rabbits’ – that’d be amazing,” he said in the post.

The Rampant Rabbi is a limited edition sex toy that’s described as “The Chosen Dildo.”

Oi vey! The RAMPANT RABBI is a meticulously produced dildo in the shape of a Jewish teacher. His prayer cap gives the dildo a smooth, rounded top and each piece is made from phthalate-free and latex-free silicone. Use only with non-silicone lubes and wash in warm water.

This isn’t Simove’s first gimmicky product. He sold the highly offensive “Control Your Woman Remote Controller,” as well. Its product description on Amazon reads like an entry in your local chauvinist’s creepy journal:

It’s unclear whether Simove thinks that Jews might find the product in bad taste. Simove told the New York Daily News that, as a Jew, he likes to laugh at his own culture.
