Shel Silverstein’s classic children’s book, The Giving Tree, is going to be an e-book. Considering the fact that Silverstein didn’t want The Giving Tree to be available in paperback, it seems unlikely he’d approve of an e-book. And yet! More and more kids are learning how to read on ipads and kindles, so this also totally makes sense. We will even concede that it is good! We just have that melancholy times-are-a-changin’ feeling, you know?
