Helloooooo, Israel! Miley Cyrus is apparently coming your way. But you’ll have to wait until next summer to enjoy the madness. We know that’s a long way off, but don’t worry, you might not even like her music by then. The Jerusalem Post reports:

Apparently still in the discussion stages, the television station that broke the story says Cyrus’s “people” are in advanced planning stages for the show. They say the performance will be on a smaller scale than Rihanna’s October performance, but there is no doubt it will stir some controversy.

Controversy, no doubt! She’ll hop on a plane to TLV with a dream and her cardigan. She’ll come in like a wrecking ball. She can’t stop, and she won’t stop. You understand.

We’re looking forward to the show, Cyrus. You better shock us. Until then, we have this.

If the internet could explode— a catastrophe that’s neither been verified, denied, or fathomed, really— it would probably happen today. With all the coverage of Miley Cyrus’ MTV Video Music Awards performance, hardworking Americans are struggling to focus at work; fighting the urge to watch each GIF on Buzzfeed, to read each contrarian analysis on Slate.

But in the face of such adversity, one man unites us in under 140 characters, saying exactly what everyone is thinking— the core reason Cyrus’ performance has shaken the nation:

I will always have this version of Miley. Let's live in the past and heal. pic.twitter.com/zMsEW2PvfO

— Judd Apatow (@JuddApatow) August 26, 2013

It’s hard, but impossible not to watch a tween queen gone berserk. Thanks for the perspective, Judd. We can all get through this together.

Why waste time calling someone when a five word text message makes the same point, more quickly and succinctly? The tricky part is navigating the social conventions around texting. One person’s wink face is another person’s mood killer.

Just ask quirky New York singer-songwriter Hannah Elka Meyers. On her new album, You’re the Pacific, Meyers debuts a song whose title makes exactly that point. In “Emoticons Turn Me Off,” Meyers bemoans a potential love interest’s use of smiley faces (she calls them emasculating).

Meyers probably belongs to the majority of people who find the ins and outs of texting etiquette exhausting. She’s not the only one singing the text message blues, either. Here are five other songs about texting gone wrong, including a choice lyric:

“Longest Text Message” by Childish Gambino: “Texting on my day off, ‘Hey babe, what’s going on?’ ‘Sorry I can’t make it out. Sad face, emoticon.'”

“7 Things” by Miley Cyrus: “When you mean it, I’ll believe it. If you text it, I’ll delete it.”

“Devil in a New Dress” by Kanye West:: “Text message breakups, the casualty of tour.”

“Messages From You” by Drake: “I hate gettin’ messages from you, especially when you say you should’ve stayed.”

“Lollipop” Lil Wayne (Remix Featuing Kanye West): “Cause you don’t want that late text, that ‘I think I’m late’ text”
