Paulette Cooper
Paulette Cooper has written 15 books plus approximately 1000 articles, and has won 6 writing awards. She launched her career as a freelance writer after she completed an M.A. degree in psychology and a summer at Harvard studying comparative religion. "Her first major article -- which appeared all over the world -- was the true story of how Paulette spent a week as a (successful) stowaway in order to write about it. Her first book, The Scandal of Scientology, which has become world-famous, is still a classic after 30 years. What she learned about this cult lead to an almost full-time crusade to expose Scientology at a time when few outsiders knew much about them and those who did were generally afraid to speak out. The Scientologists retaliated and harassed her for 15 years. (This was the subject of a "60 Minutes" TV Segment) She withdrew from the cult-fighting front in 1985, married Paul Noble, and co-wrote four books with her husband, including "277 Secrets Your Dog Wants You to Know", and the even more popular, "277 Secrets Your Cat Wants You to Know" and the latest, "The Most Romantic Resorts for Destination Weddings, Marriage Renewals, and Honeymoons." She lives in Palm Beach and Fire Island with her husband, Paul Noble, and dog, Pinki.
