If Townes Van Zandt Liked David Broza, Then I’m going to Like Him Too!

My only real connection to David Broza comes from driving with my aunt to a mall in Boca Raton; when I go to his Wikipedia, I’m told that he is "a post-modern Leonard Cohen" and the "Stevie Ray Vaughan of folk rock," and he looks like he could beat me up.

All of this ends up making me incredibly confused about my feeling towards the guy.

On one hand, my aunt has disgusting taste in make up, cars, dogs, clothes for her three sons (sorry guys), and most of all, music.  On the other hand, I’ve never, EVER wanted to read Leonard Cohen’s name next to Stevie Ray Vaughn’s; there is something incredibly off about that.

Now comes news that the popular Jewish singer/songwriter had a fan in one of my other favorite musicians ever, Townes Van Zandt, was a fan.  So much so, that the late troubador wanted Broza to turn some of his poetry into music.

My mind is somewhat blown.
