A group of women, organized by WePower, a feminist NGO, got together in Tel Aviv for a flashmob to the tune of “Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves” by Aretha Franklin and the Eurythmics. It’s the best use of the song since the montage scene in The First Wives Club. Remember that? Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, and a shy, self-conscious Diana Keaton get together to build the Cynthia Swann Griffin Crisis Center for Women at the expense of their sly, creepy, wealthy ex-husbands who left them for women half their age. What a film. I digress.
Check out these semi-uncoordinated, adorable women shaking their thangs like it’s an after school JCC Israeli Dancing class.
