Ah, Jemima Kirke and Michael Mosberg! Glam-Jewy-indie couple extraordinaire! You either want to be them, or you— wait, no, you pretty much just want to be them. That’s the only option.

First, we saw the inside of their Brooklyn home and read about their Shabbat dinners. Now, a new slideshow up at Refinery 29 provides an intimate glimpse into their 2009 wedding. Each photo is accompanied by commentary from Kirke, and first few slides—in which she describes falling in love with Mosberg—are pretty swoony:

I loved his gentility, but his kindness was what struck me. He had this patience and stoicism; I had never met anyone like him… He just felt so much more awesome than any guy I’d ever dated. Every guy I dated before had been abusive and made me feel like shit. I was like, “Wow, this just might be the person I deserve.”

The traditional, Orthodox Jewish ceremony took place at the bride’s mother’s beach house, under a “driftwood chuppah covered in flowers.” Kirke was untraditionally—but gloriously—pregnant. She wore a rad vintage Jill Stuart dress which she purchased a few days before the wedding for $200, and immediately after the ceremony, the bride and groom jumped into the water. The guests ate “bagels and lox and cereal,” it was over by noon, and everyone lived happily ever after. Sounds like a dream.

CAN’T HARDLY WAIT…for January 12th, when we get to see all the ‘Girls’ back in action. A second trailer for the series was released yesterday, and it’s loaded with some telling previews. For starters, Hannah is actually being taken seriously by a publisher (she is the voice of our generation, of course!) and Marnie remains quite tender from her first brush with self-doubt. Shoshanna is still showing everybody whose “boss” with her sage one- liners, and as always, with Jessa, it remains unclear.

The trailer also shows Hannah and Adam in the bath! So that’s totally on. So curious to see what unfolds with Shosh and Ray. See below for some Girls goodness.

No matter how different Zosia tells InStyle her own look is from her beloved Girls character Shoshanna, it’s hard to picture Zosia as anything other than Shosh–if only because she does “Shosh” so well. Everybody’s favorite “Girl” Zosia Mamet (in strict competition with my love, Jessa) graces the January cover of InStyle and talks fashion, her boyfriend, and the stark differences between her and Juicy-velour-wearing character, Shoshanna.

They’re completely, entirely, inexhaustibly DIFFERENT, the 25-year-old says:

“Shoshanna’s style is, I think, the exact opposite of mine. We are intrinsically opposite human beings. Her’s is very specific. There’s a lot of pink. I think she likes something tailored. I don’t think Shoshanna would ever wear a shift dress. I think she would refer to it as a “sack” probably; whereas my favorite dress is a dress that my boyfriend calls the “sack dress,” that I would live in if I could. I don’t know where she gets her hairstyles from, but they come from somewhere. It’s like an amalgamation of every fashion mag ever, and probably some from Japan.”

But don’t worry, she still loves Shosh:

“Something I love about Shoshanna is how unabashed she is. She puts her foot in her mouth all the time, but she doesn’t apologize for it. She’s very worried about what other people think, but she still really does her own thing.”

The new trailer for HBO’s Girls season three has finally arrived today, so, TGIF, like we used to say. The show premieres on January 12 with two back-to-back episodes, so clear your schedule for that Sunday, or whatever it is you need to do to watch both in one night. January 13 will be brimming with recaps, reviews, critical responses, and GIF-filled lists (“The 14 Idiosyncrasies You Didn’t Know Hannah Horvath Had— Until Now!”). You’ll definitely want to be all up in the KNOW.

The trailer makes season three look lighthearted, but if we know Lena Dunham by now, she won’t let us have the laughs without the chaos. We look forward to both.

Have we got great news for you. Sarah Silverman will be starring in her first ever HBO stand-up special, Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles, Deadline reports.

Taped in front of about three dozen folks at Largo in LA, the special skewers such subjects as porn, religion, politics, and “the miracle of existence.” Silverman has appeared on a number of HBO shows, dating to the ’90s series The Larry Sanders Show and Mr. Show With Bob And David. We Are Miracles is produced by Funny Or Die and Black Gold Films and executive produced by Heidi Herzon, Mike Farah, Anna Wenger, Betsy Koch, Amy Zvi and Sarah Silverman. Liam Lynch directs.

It’s unclear how Silverman has gotten this far in her successful comedic career without her own special, but whatever, we’re ready and excited. Her sitcom, Susan 313, wasn’t picked up by NBC, and we were greatly disappointed. Silverman posted the pilot episode on her YouTube channel and it left us wanting more, but nothing was to come. So, at 10 p.m. on November 23rd we’ll get what we’ve been waiting for.

It’s only been a few months since Hannah Horvath jammed a Q-Tip so deep inside her eardrum that she secured her sadistic fans’ viewership for another season yet. Well, a little teaser for season three is out offering neither dialogue nor plot, only a few Instagram clues.

One, Elijah is back. The more Elijah, the better the Girls. Two, they’re at the beach. I guess Lena Dunham got sick of the Brooklyn backdrop. I hear that, Dunham. Three and four, Adam is smiling, while Shoshanna’s hair has gone mental. What is happening? Why is everyone so happy? We’ll have to wait until 2014 to find out.

Zosia Mamet’s indie sibling band Kickstarter campaign may have fizzled, raising only 2,783 of its $32,000 goal, but hope isn’t completely lost for Girls fans. Just look at Tina Wargo, the Girls enthusiast who tweeted at Lena Dunham asking her to write out “All adventurous women do,” a quote from Season 1 of the HBO series, for a tattoo Wargo wanted to get.

And OMFG, Dunham totally did it. Excuse me while I start a Kickstarter for Zosia Mamet’s new line of temporary banjo tattoos.

And you thought you were the biggest Girls fan you know. The Girls HBO Instagram account posted a picture of a super fan who “made her #GIRLS love permanent on the back of her leg.”

The reference, based on the Season 2 series premiere when Ray doesn’t understand Shoshanna’s string of text message emoticons, inspired these parody text message screen shots before convincing someone on Team Shosh to get inked, permanently. The tat got a variety of responses from Instagram users, from “omg emoticon love!” to the more expected “even I don’t love emoji’s THAT much.”

Whoever wrote “obsessed! Too bad it was so poorly done.” is such a Marnie.

Lena Dunham, Purim enthusiast. The Golden Globe-winning writer/director/nice Jewish girl will headline The Jewish Museum’s Purim ball on Wednesday, February 27, where she will deliver the evening’s Purim spiel.

According to the Museum, “Ms. Dunham will bring her brilliant sense of humor to the annual telling of the Purim story, which she will interpret in her own unique style for the evening’s 850 guests from the worlds of art, fashion, entertainment and philanthropy.”

We’ll be there, of course, chronicling the whole thing spiel by spiel. Dibs on dressing up as Shoshanna.

Ari Gold, the Hollywood super-agent with a manic determination to get the very best for his clients—and himself—never quits. He also doesn’t care who he has to crush in the process. The HBO show that revitalized Jermey Piven’s career might have been named after the eponymous entourage for Vincent Chase (Adrien Grenier)—the up and coming actor inspired by the experiences of the show’s creator, Mark Wahlberg—but the real star of the show was always Piven’s cutthroat Jewish agent. And he has three Emmys to prove it.

Piven’s Wahlburg is real life super-agent Ari Emanuel—currently at the helm of the William Morris Endeavor agency, one of the film and television industry’s leading talent agencies—and like him, the fictional Ari’s subversive effectiveness in the business is legendary. But so is his nonapologetic approach and incessant sarcastic mockery—something that became one of the show’s staples when taken out on his long-suffering assistant, Lloyd (Rex Lee), who is ridiculed relentlessly for his sexual orientation and Asian heritage.

It’s easy—and right!—to be offended by Ari’s insults and abuse, but it’s your dislike for him that makes watching his outbursts so enjoyable. There’s a reason Ari outshines the show’s ‘movie star,’ but this hardly makes him a banner of Jewish values. Then again, like any number-crunching Jewish businessman, Ari has a humanizing Achilles’ heel—his wife (Perrey Reeves).

Known simply as “Mrs. Ari” until the show’s final season, his wife is the only person who can bring him to his knees, begging for forgiveness. Such penance made for one of the most memorable episodes, “Return of the King,” which took place on Yom Kippur. Entourage never shied away from Ari’s Jewishness—his daughter’s bat mitzvah became a business opportunity for Ari to showcase his star client as the cake cutter—but Ari never seemed to take it seriously and often used it as shtick in his tirades.

The episode saw Ari belligerently pestering a producer during a Yom Kippur service to try to secure a movie deal, only to see his aggressiveness lead to its destruction. Admonished by Mrs. Ari for popping a breath mint and robbed by her of his phone (and the backup he hides in his sock), Ari even tells his daughter that the beauty of Yom Kippur is being able to sin during that day and apologize by sundown.

Hollywood is, perhaps, a better place to be a Jew than many other industries, but Ari still treats it like a crutch more than anything else. His need to barter and think only about business on Yom Kippur not only ruins his deal, it also shows his lack of appreciation for his religion. When he needs to find a way to get to the producer’s synagogue and realizes that he has no cash on him, he concludes “Like our desert-dwelling ancestors, we walk.” Ari’s Judaism is, like everything else in his life, a bargaining chip, something to help him achieve greater success.

But Ari is not without redemption, and the series finale finds him abandoning his life of work and quitting his job to show his wife how much he cares for her. But then, after the credits, Ari received a phone call offering him the job he always wanted: heading a studio. Now that the Entourage movie that no one asked for (in the words of Vulture’s Josh Wolk, “The only logical explanation for an Entourage movie is that Mark Wahlberg … is taunting everyone who vocally disparaged his show in its later years”) has been confirmed, Ari is coming back. Well, as long as too much sushi doesn’t stop him.
