Larisa Fuchs, otherwise known as Miss Scorpio, is half of the Gemini & Scorpio events production team. The G&S website reports: "Over the years, G&S events have become known for tight curation and creative themes, live performance by talented artists, eye-popping spectacle and a devoted stylish following. Inspired by their success, Miss Scorpio is also in the process of opening a 5,000sq ft performing arts venue with a team of talented others. She’s frequently called on as an expert in event production, curation and promotion by a variety of creative entities, from the likes of National Geographic Traveler to Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls."
Really, the details are hazy. Yes, Larisa throws parties — but these are the types of parties that boggle the mind: fire-eaters, moonshine cocktails, topless mermaids, secret locations and all-night ragers. G&S produces every kind of event you can image. Plus, they usually include breakfast!
As proof, here are a few of my favorite selections from Larisa’s weekly email blast:
"On Chinese Moon Year’s Eve, a dreamful night in an opium den of our making: a private 2,000sq ft Brooklyn loft completely redecorated just for this night. Recline in languid repose and drift in the pleasures of intimate performance, golden-throated singers, tales told in glistening flesh, and exotic cocktails. Full event tickets include catered dim sum dinner & dessert."
"A marvelous and mysterious event…a Halloween celebration of the extravagant and the grotesque…a 12-hour spectacle of atmosphere, costumery and diverse entertainments…an explosion of live music, dancing, circus arts, fire and late-night revelry, snake-charmed into an absinthe-fueled early-morning speakeasy. With a demonic dance floor…hand-cranked phonograph music…Exotic Balkan rhythms…victorian music box mix, toy piano mayhem and circus techno…an explosive fire experience…[and] vintage soul + funk remix breakfast set."
"An epic re-juggering of humanity is upon us. In this moment of transformation and transcendence (literally "the end of days"), 3,000 pioneers of a new era gather in a remote former air base deep in Brooklyn to celebrate our evolution towards this moment, and to join forces to create a more perfect world. Together, we will build a model of utopia for the last of our kind, opening our arms to the diversity of post-human life and creating a new world in our image. As the final 3,000 souls left on this planet, we ask ourselves: Are we human or post-human? Granted the ability to create our own forms, what can we learn from our evolution to this point and how can we evolve into a more perfect future?"
excellent points altogether, you simply won a logo reader. What would you suggest about your submit that you made a few days in the past? Any positive?
