Superstar Israeli athletes Nir and Tal Moriah continue to take the Taekwondo world by storm this year. After moving to Houston from Israel to train with an elite team, the duo began steadily scooping up various championship medals worldwide.
Since then, the brothers have been preparing as candidates for the U.S. Olympic team for 2012 games. They are no doubt worthy international opponents: Nir winning the World Taekwondo Open in Mexico last month and both brothers qualifying for U.S. Nationals with Gold and Silver medals in their weight classes.
Assigning a central role to Judaism in the brothers’ work in the Taekwondo world, Nir relates, "the element of competition requires me to trust in my training, myself, and God under pressure, and there is no better feeling than exercising faith under pressure!"
