The Big Jewcy: The Shondes

The Shondes continues to make noise four years after debuting with an album recorded at Tony Maimone of They Might Be GiantsStudio G. This year, they’ve released their second album My Dear One with Fanatic Records along with packed national tours that make use of their popularity in integrating politics (during their Tucson and Phoenix tour stop, the Shondes teamed up with an organization fighting draconian Arizona immigration policies).

Drummer Temim Fruchter, says their 2010 album "follows the arc of a breakup – it’s sad and angry and despairing and hopeful – and we’ve gotten a lot of really nice reviews about how this combines with our punk energy and bass/ drums/ guitar/ violin/ harmonies lineup."

  • Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a superb job with this. In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Chrome. Outstanding Blog!
