A High-Profile Bris for a High-Profile Family

Real estate mogul power couple Zina Sapir and Rotem Rosen collectively own about half of New York City, so when they announced the birth of their real estate heir son, we could have predicted that all the stops would be pulled for a huge, blow-out celebration in his honor. But we could not have predicted that all stops would be pulled…for a bris.

New York Magazine reports, that a quiet at-home bris just didn’t cut it for Sapir-Rosen family. Apparently, the couple, who were married in December of last year at a wedding featuring The Pussycat Dolls and Lionel Ritchie, sent out a press release Friday to select media outlets with the subject heading, “High Profile Bris on Sunday — You're Invited” that read as follows:

Zina Sapir, daughter of real estate mogul Tamir Sapir and her husband real estate mogul Rotem Rosen, CEO of Africa Israel USA welcomed a baby boy last week. The bris is scheduled Sunday, June 1st at the grave of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, a prominent Hasidic rabbi who was the seventh and last Rebbe (spiritual leader) of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. Real estate and diamonds magnate Lev Leviev, the biggest contributor to Chabad in the world, personally arranged for the bris to take place at the grave site, which is considered a huge honor. Rotem Rosen, Lev Leviev’s right hand man, is very grateful as the grave is believed to be a holy site where millions of people come from all over the world to receive inspiration and blessing from the Rebbe.

NY Mag called it “the best bris invite ever.” Jewcy can only speculate, but has gone on the record saying, “No, it’s cool, we had something to do that day anyway.” I guess we’ll just have to hear about it from our buddy Donald Trump and the rest of the New York glitterati that attended on Sunday. We’ll only be pissed if we hear the Pussycat Dolls showed up.
