The Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival begins this weekend with a stellar lineup that could only be pulled off in the movie capitol of the world.

The Yankles – Directed by David R. Brooks
Bad News Bears/The Might Ducks meets The Chosen? Maybe. Does that sound amazing? Absolutley.
No. 4 Street of Our Lady – A Film by Barbara Bird, Judy Maltz & Richie Sherman
Before World War II, more than 6,000 Jews lived in Sokal, a small town in Eastern Poland. By the end of the war, only about 30 had survived, half of them rescued by Francisca Halamajowa. This is her story.
Seven Minutes in Heaven – Directed by Omri Givon
From what we hear, Givon’s debut has placed the young Israeli director among the big names in the countries burgeoning film scene. LA will get it’s chance to find out why.
Berlin ’36 – Directed by Kaspar Heidelbach
Yiddish Hillbillies – Directed by Eric Krasner
