Jewcy Zeitgeist: North Korea Restores Nukes, Vatican Vetoes Ambassadors, and China Protects Civil Liberties

Here are today’s top stories in no particular order:

  • President Obama is still refraining from attending the international anti-racism summit because of its statements about Israel. Though some of the changes to the Durban II draft have been commended, the U.S. says there’s more that needs to be done.
  • The Vatican has vetoed all three of President Obama’s selections for U.S. ambassador, including Caroline Kennedy, whose views on abortion have flagged her as unacceptable to the Vatican.
  • A Minnesota court has approved Al Franken as the winner of the Minnesota Senate race, winning more votes than Republican incumbent Norm Coleman.
