Here are today’s top stories in no particular order:
- Vice President Joe Biden is visiting Lebanon as the nation gears up for Parliamentary elections.
- President Obama has offered his third commencement address as commander-in-chief, his first at a service academy, at the Naval Academy.
- Two New Zealanders whose bank accidentally gave them a credit line of more than $6 million have fled the country with more than a third of the money. Officials suspect they may have left for China or Hong Kong.
- Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, in her first statement since the scandal began, has said she stands by her accusations of the CIA.
- By now, we’ve all heard the results of the hyped American Idol finale. "Underdog" Kris Allen took the title, and new reports are saying the finale had the lowest viewer figures since 2004. [Editor’s Note: Was that the year that Taylor Hicks won? Because if so, Taylor sucks and no one should have watched that finale.]
