Yesterday it was Josh from the Sleepies, today, Aaron Hawn of New Orleans/Kansas City purveyors of doom, Mythical Beast, picks the Southsiders, likes Old Style and feels a spiritual connection to a "voodoo guy"/television insurance agent in our second installment of Jewish Punk Rock Baseball. Who’s your favorite team? My hometown zeros the Cubs. Favorite player of all-time? I’m going to stick with the Chicago theme and have to go with Bo Jackson on the White Sox. I know that was only for two seasons but that was at the height of my childhood interest in baseball. What is your favorite ballpark food? Hot Dogs and Old Style at Wrigley Field. Who are your picks to face off in the World Series and who will be the winner? This year I’d say the White Sox are going to go pretty far but will be beat out by some fucking east coast team. I know its along shot but I want to see the Cubs win before I die. If (the major league team of your choice) were to approach you to play a Mythical Beast song over the loudspeaker, which song would you want them to use?
I think that they should only use one of our songs when Dock Ellis comes out to sign autographs or throw a first pitch. That song would have to be "Eyes Into Space".
Which character in the 1989 film, Major League, do you relate to the most- The Voodoo guy Pedro Cerrano played by the amazing spokesman for Allstate Insurance Dennis Dexter Haysbert.
You need to participate in a contest for probably the greatest blogs on the web. I’ll recommend this site!
