Our pals at Tablet opened the floodgates, and gave us an excuse to admit how excited we are for the forthcoming Jonathan Franzen novel, Freedom.

The sites fall fiction preview was loaded with names we love: Roth, Ozick and Shteyngart, and also was the first to call Adam Levin’s 900+ novel, The Instructions, “The Josh Cohen of the McSweeney’s set.”

But what we like the most, was the fact that there is a dual Semitic appreciation for the the non-Jewish Mr. Franzen, and his latest output featuring “a character who is the son of a bigwig Jewish neoconservative.”
