Brooklyn Gets its First Artisanal Whole Foods

Crowds withstood gusty winds yesterday in anticipation of the much-awaited Gowanus Whole Foods; also known as, the most Brooklyn Whole Foods ever. Vegan hemp granola, vinyl records, gourmet chocolates–the list of delectable goods can go on and on.

The 56,000 square foot location, “Third and 3rd,” has a 20,000-square-foot roof greenhouse, will sell reclaimed vintage jewelry, and has two separate car charging stations. Did we die and stumble upon a Brooklynite’s paradise? I believe so…

Going to Whole Foods is now an epicurean super journey into an amalgamated land of all things Brooklyn. They even have a Yuji Ramen, a rooftop restaurant, a beer bar (with 16 beers on tap!), and knife-sharpening services (you know, just in case).

Can’t forget the juice bar (but isn’t that a given?). So basically, “when I die, bury me inside the Whole Foods store.” To quote 2 Chainz, of course.
