Over the past couple of years, curated artist Elanit Kayne has been writing her book, The Bucket and The Stone, about spiritual research and artistic survival in New York City post-Katrina that explains the influences of Kaballa and mysticism in her work. We especially are turned on by the adaptability of humans that is transmitted in the pieces and in her own past with influences of NYC, NOLA, and FL.
These watercolors are her most recent works since moving to Florida with her husband Michael Linder. In love with the concept of time, her watercolors completed in one sitting encompass the moment. Also, check out her Buckets installation.
