Sephardic Voices Today: A Double Bill with Yasmin Levy and DeLeon
Celebrate Sephardic music, from 15th century Ladino songs to Spanish indie rock. Yasmin Levy, one of the finest singers in the Middle East, performs haunting renditions of songs from her Judeo-Spanish heritage, as well as new songs rooted in the tradition.
Opening the concert is groundbreaking music by Brooklyn’s DeLeon, which re-imagines ancient melodies as contemporary pieces.
