The Search For America’s Next Top Jewcy Intern

JDUB Records and Jewcy are looking for interns to help with day-to-day work
in our NYC offices. Candidates must be organized, motivated, interested in
music, culture, and online media, and ideally good writers as well.
Internships are unpaid and require a minimum commitment of 2 days per week.
Applicants should be juniors or seniors in college, or recent college grads.
Please send a short cover letter and a resume to the appropriate e-mails listed below and
indicate which type of internship you are applying for (descriptions below).
Those interested in the editorial internship should also include 2-3 short
writing samples, and those interested in the design internship should submit
a portfolio link.

Jewcy Intern
This is a great opportunity for eager, young journalists to earn clips,
learn about the cutting edge world of online media, and work under a
talented, entertaining editor. This is a creative position with room for
growth. Daily tasks include researching and uploading articles to WordPress,
writing short blog posts, and maintaining and updating the website. Copy
editing is also involved. Related work experience or internships are a plus
but not required.

JDUB Records Intern
With a slew of records coming out and a ton of events and tours we’re
looking for a tech-savvy individual to assist with digital and physical
marketing and promotions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
social networking help, street team interaction, website updates, lifestyle
marketing, general administrative help, and assistance on special projects.

Design Intern
We are looking for a motivated, talented graphic designer interested in portfolio building, real world experience, to help create marketing materials for record releases, events and more. The designer will use their own creative license to keep JDub on the pulse, but also help maintain an aesthetic consistent with brand our image.

Responsibilities include:

Developing online and print marketing materials including e-flyers, banner ads, email blasts, print, promotional materials, materials for artist specific content (show posters, possible album covers, etc).

Details:

Internship is unpaid; you will be a volunteer to JDub. This position will help you expand your portfolio, develop professionally, and have your work seen by tens of thousands, weekly. In addition real world resume building experience, this opportunity offers a chance to be involved with the branding and marketing of new artists on our record label. Most importantly, you will get to learn from a successful, forward thinking, cultural non-profit.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Portfolio, experience with Adobe suite.
  • Access to laptop computer and design software.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to use type, color and composition to communicate visually.
  • Availability to work from our downtown office 1 day per week.
  • Complete projects at convenience the rest of the time.
  • Energy, a sense of humor, and an outgoing personality
  • Knowledge of music/entertainment industry a plus

  • The next time I just read a weblog, I really hope which it doesnt disappoint me up to this one. Get real, Yes, it was my choice to read, but I personally thought youd have something interesting to convey. All I hear can be a handful of whining about something you could fix in the event you werent too busy trying to find attention.
