So if a picture is worth a thousand words, how much is a video of an Israeli prisoner worth?
About 250 Arabs, apparently.
Ma’ariv reported Sunday that Hamas representatives offered to provide Israel with the video footage of Cpl. Gilad Shalit, who was abducted outside the Gaza Strip last June, on the condition that Israel release between 200 and 250 Palestinian prisoners.
Funny how you always hear about Israel being "disproportionate" in the use of force, but you never hear about the epic disproportions terrorists demand for something as simple as, say, proof of life. Well, no, not funny. Expected, really. But that won't stop me from bitching about it.
Also lost in all of the prisoner exchange talk is the fact that Ehud Olmert was set to release some Palestinian prisoners not long ago, but stopped the deal when the kassam rocket attacks continued to hit Sderot (and critically wounded two teenaged boys).
For those of you who think that Mahmoud Abbas is any help at all in all of this, well, think again. He has done nothing, offered nothing, and accomplished nothing towards getting Gilad Shalit back, and yet, has the nerve to say it's time to discuss "final status" issues. While rockets are raining down on Sderot.
Yeah, that'll happen. In some parallel universe.
This could be the correct blog if you would like to check out this topic. You are aware of so much its virtually not easy to argue along (not too I really would want…HaHa). You definitely put a different spin using a topic thats been discussing for many years. Excellent stuff, just excellent!
