I wrote a piece over at Vice about my experience attending the Sean Hannity "Freedom Concert" at Six Flags New Jersey, and I tried to put my thoughts about right vs. left/democrat vs. republican to the side, and just report what I saw.
One thing I didn’t get to mention in the piece was how I literally felt like I was the only Jew in a sea of a few thousand people. I felt like -as a Jew-I had no place among them.
Not that I felt like I was going to get strung up and hung on the nearest tree, but I can safely say–in a totally non-partisan way– that no matter what your stance, if you’re a Jew, the Tea Party probably isn’t for you.
