At the very beginning of the summer I plowed through Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen in a day and a half. It's a great beach read–engrossing, but not too depressing. Fun, but not too light. There's not much Jewish content, but it was kind of nice to see the 30s depcited as something other than a cesspool of anti-Semitism. Plus, it's about circuses–and I'm a sucker for elephants.
I also recommend Wonder When You'll Miss Me by Amanda Davis, which is another circus/elephant book, though much darker.
I’d have to consult with you here. Which isn’t some thing Which i do! I love to reading an article that may get people to believe. Also, many thanks for allowing me to comment!
