Well, pip-pip cheerio! A couple of weeks ago, David Tuchman went to the Limmud conference at the University of Warwick, England to record OMGWTFBIBLE with a slew of wonderful guests—and did his best to avoid recording his terrible British accents on tape. (But you can here some authentic accents right here, on Limmud’s terrific Soundcloud page.)
This time around, in episode 27.1, David is joined by Kevin Sefton, the Chair of Limmud. Together, they read the first third of Parshat “Yitro,” discussed what in the world Limmud is, why in the world Yitro pops in for this little story and never appears again, and whether his legacy was worth it. Listen to it all here!
David Tuchman translated the Tanakh as a comedy and called it OMGWTFBIBLE. Each month on his podcast, he calls up a different guest to read as many chapters of OMGWTFBIBLE as they can while they both make fun of it.
Jewcy is the proud (internet) co-host of OMGWTFBIBLE. Read more about the project here, and listen to previous episodes here.
Check back here in a week for the next installment of OMGWTFBIBLE. David will be reading the next live show with Sha James in New York on January 26!
