New York Times Talk Schmuck

The New York Times make a huge deal out of the title of the upcoming comedy starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, Dinner for Schmucks.  Debbiel Schlussel, Lorne Michaels, and some rabbinical authority make appearances in this tale of a word that I’ve been hearing for about as long as I could say "mamma" and "Dadda."

"At The New York Times, where the word is still considered potentially offensive, the title of Mr. Roach’s film may be mentioned only sparingly. Still, advertisements for the movie would probably pass muster, said Steph Jespersen, director of advertising acceptability for The Times, though a final decision will be subject to review by a standards editor and possibly a "rabbi or two."

Must be a slow news day.

  • Pretty straightforward. It obviously depends on the standard of living you want to have but for me if I decide to fight MMA I understand that I’m going to try to get by on as little as possible. Do most fighters who have day jobs work part time? And if you’re a fighter who works full time do you feel like it has a negative impact on your ability to train effectively?.

  • I am curious to find out what blog system you are working with? I’m experiencing some small security issues with my latest website and I would like to find something more secure. Do you have any suggestions?
