Who’s the most beautiful Holocaust survivor of them all? Why, that would be the 79-year-old Hava Hershkovitz, from Romania—she beat out 13 other contestants, aged 74 to 97 (selected from a pool of 500 applicants!), at a Holocaust survivor beauty pageant in Haifa yesterday. Yes, you read that correctly.
Many congratulations to Hava Hershkowitz, who by all accounts seems lovely. Less so do the event organizers, however, who most definitely could have planned something less attention-grabbing, but more meaningful.
