President Obama is heading to Israel for a much-publicized diplomatic trip, and to welcome the leader of the free world, the Israeli Embassy made this video. And put it on the internet. For everyone to see.
While the whole thing is pretty awkward, the kicker is when the theme song from Golden Girls, “Thank You For Being a Friend,” starts playing. As Adam Chandler wrote over at the Scroll, the musical selection “may pay dividends in Florida, but the younger set may revolt.”
