Taking a cue from the national food-truck craze started in cities like NYC and LA, Chef Matt Marcus founded the Eatsie Boys in his hometown of Houston, TX. In only a short time, the gourmet food truck has built a name for itself among not only our Jewcy community in Houston, but the entire community as a whole. Although the menu isn’t exactly ‘kosher” with items such as Pork Snuggies, The Sabotage (five hour roasted pork au jus) and Pork Revere, we’re told the sandwiches are some of the best you can get in Houston…just hope your Rabbi isn’t driving by when you’re purchasing one. Like other food trucks around the country, the Eatsie Boys truck location changes daily, and the crew announces their location for the day each morning via twitter. They call themselves “purveyors of good eats,” and from what we here at Jewcy can tell, Matt Marcus and his crew are certainly living up to their claim.
