At some point during his coverage of the presidential campaign, NBC's politics guru Chuck Todd remarked, to general mirth among his colleagues, that the Republicans' system for allocating delegates is like high school trigonometry, and the Democrats' system is like calculus.
Actually, each system relies exclusively on arithmetic. Even so, calculating the delegate totals for the presidential candidates is difficult enough that every news organization (and any other interested party) has arrived at different figures, some of them widely disparate.

Thanks for the sensible critique. Me & my cousin were just preparing to do some research about this. We grabbed a book from our area library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such great info being shared freely out there.
